■3rd Person POV■

Oikawa and Y/N are sitting in silence again, both aren't sure about what to say to each other. They haven't talked for years, and their last meeting making it hard to find a topic as well. Oikawa wants to start a conversation and apologize for hurting Y/N, while Y/N is also feeling guilty for not showing up when Oikawa left. After all, before being lovers, they're friends, she should at least say goodbye, but, she didn't. 

Y/N doesn't know what she feels right now. She's happy to see Oikawa again after all this time, but, she's also feeling troubled. Oikawa can feel that Y/N is uneasy, she's looking at the ground and playing with her fingers, showing that she's nervous. This actually makes Oikawa sad. Y/N used to be really comfortable around him, but now.

Oikawa: Y/N... do you... hate me?

Y/N was stunned by Oikawa's question. She does feel uncomfortable around him right now and doesn't even know what to say to him. But, is it really because she hates him? Y/N was hurt by what he did back then, it made her feels as if she wasn't enough. When he left, she cried for days, but, is it because she hates him?

Oikawa: Y/N...

Y/N snaps from her reverie, and look up at Oikawa. Oikawa's gaze fell to his knees, his face looks grim. He opens his mouth but then closes them again before he takes a deep breath and looks at Y/N. Their eyes met, it sent shivers down to both of them.

Oikawa: Y/N... don't... hate me... please...

■Y/N POV■

I can feel my heart clenched when I saw Oikawa like this, my chest feels stuffy. I know I avoided him since that day, I didn't even come to see him leave five years ago. But, I know one thing for sure. I don't hate him, I don't hate Oikawa Tooru. All this time when I talk to Hajime, I actually wanted to ask him about Tooru. Whether he and I are in a relationship or not, Tooru, he's my best friend since I was little. I can never hate him.

But Oikawa feels that way, he thinks I hate him. I understand him the most, Tooru has some sort of anxiety. I shouldn't have made him think that way. But back then, I didn't come to see him it's because it's going to be really hard for me too. We are fighting at the time, and then Oikawa has to leave for another country. I thought I could forget it when he left, but, it leaves me with guilt instead. I feel guilty for not seeing him off, for making my mom has to come in my place, and for making him feel... hated. I don't...

Y/N: To... Oikawa... I don't hate you...

I can feel that Oikawa flinches next to me. 

Y/N: I... can never hate you... because before what happened between us... we're best friends... with Hajime too... I too want to apologize... I'm sorry for not showing up to say goodbye to you Oikaw-

Oikawa: Y/N please don't apologize to me.... I'm the one who should apologize... I'm so sorry... I hurt you, and I betrayed your trust... but I-

Y/N: it's alright Oikawa... maybe you and I... just don't work as... more than a friend...

Oikawa: No! Y/N I...

Y/N: Let's make up.... let's be friends again... Tooru.

■Oikawa's POV■

Y/N calls me Tooru again, just like how she used to, but, that's not what I want. I don't want her to call me Tooru, just like when we're just childhood friends. I want her to call me Tooru with love, just when she was mine. When before I made her gave up on me. 

Oikawa: Y/N... I never see any other girl since that day. I can't stop thinking about you. Every time I talk with Iwa chan on the phone or through texts, I can't avoid asking about you. Y/N I... can't forget about you Y/N... can we get back together... this time I will...

Y/N: I don't think... we should do that Tooru.... I... do miss you a lot... when I heard you got your Argentinian citizenship... I was... sad... I thought I can never make up with you, I thought I couldn't see you anymo-

Oikawa : then let's get back together... I... this time I'll make this right... I want you by my side Y/N. I need you...

Y/N stood up from the bench.

Y/N: Let's go back to the pub Tooru... Our friends might be worried about us.... and Hajime too

Oikawa: Y...N...

Y/N looks at me and gives me a sad smile.

Y/N: we're friends again now... let's see Hajime and tell him we've made up.... let's stay like this Tooru... and maybe all four of us can hang out again...

She rejected me. Of course, what did I expect? I betrayed her, seeing other women behind her back for months, and she knew it, and, I didn't stop until she left me. I left for years and suddenly came back, and asked her to be mine again, I must be nuts or just extremely selfish. She, even apologize to me for not coming to see me off back then. I hurt her and made her feels guilty. She forgives me, I should be grateful for that. 

Oikawa: okay... Y/N

I raise my hand for a high five. She looks at my hand, and I give her a "come on don't let me hang in" look. She steps forward and gives me a high five. She finally gives me one of her genuine smiles. The smile that I miss so much. 

Y/N: let's go... Tooru

Oikawa: yes, let's go

■3rd Person POV■

Oikawa and Y/N return to the pub. Each party saw as their friend came back. Iwaizumi watches as his best friends came in together, he sighs and walks to the entrance. Iwaizumi smack Oikawa's shoulder.

Oikawa: Iwa chan, what was that for? Mean Iwa chan...

Iwaizumi: Did this dumbass apologize to you Y/N, sorry I acted like that earlier...

Y/N: no, Thankyou Hajime... thanks to you now Tooru and I are friends again..

Iwaizumi's eyes are widened after hearing that those two are back to be friends again, not lovers. Iwaizumi look at Oikawa, Oikawa averts his gaze but, his face showing a sad smile. Iwaizumi knew the result, but at least these two are not in a dispute. Iwaizumi knows that Y/N could never hate Oikawa. Iwaizumi places a hand on Y/N's head and parts her head.

Iwaizumi: well.. I guess, good to hear that... 

Y/N: yes... um, well I'll go to my coworkers then... I just left them abruptly earlier...

Y/N bows her head and walks to her coworkers' table but Oikawa caught her arm in his hand. Y/N look back at Oikawa, Iwaizumi gives Oikawa another smack on the back of his head.

Iwaizumi: stop grabbing her arm like that Trashykawa!

Oikawa: Ouch! I'm sorry, you don't have to hit me all the time Iwa chan... Jeez, even after five years you're still mean...

Y/N watches as her two friends bickering, it gives her fuzzy feelings. She misses the sight of these two and the time when they used to hang out together. Unconsciously, Y/N laughs a little, making Iwaizumi and Oikawa look at her.

The two men look at each other and laugh as well. it's been a while since the three of them are laughing together like this. Y/N then look at Oikawa, and watch as he laughs. How much she misses seeing him laughing like this.

Y/N: well, Tooru what is it?

Oikawa look at her with a confused face

Iwaizumi: don't tell me you just grab her arm, stopping her from going away without a reason you dumbass

Oikawa: oh no.. uh that's...

Oikawa looks antsy, he scratches the back of his neck and looks around.

Oikawa: well.. I just want to ask, whether you're free tomorrow... uh I mean, it's been so long since I'm here and we haven't seen each other for a long time... so I, want to ask you out... Hang out I mean, with Iwa chan too...

Iwaizumi: I have things to do tomorrow Shittykawa... and it's probably until 10 p.m.. so does GBF/N

Oikawa looks at Iwaizumi sadly, well Iwaizumi knows it wasn't because he couldn't come. It's because Y/N might don't want to meet him if it's just the two of them. Y/N looks at Oikawa's sad face, She thought Oikawa was lonely because Iwaizumi and GBF/N can't come. She can't leave him alone, he will feel lonely.

Y/N: I work until five tomorrow if you want to I can hang out with yo-

Oikawa: YES! uh I mean yes please, thank you

Oikawa exclaimed rather loudly, that some people are looking at their way. And another smack landed on his head, as Iwaizumi scolds him. Y/N laughs at her friends again.

Y/N: Okay then, I'll see you again tomorrow Tooru...

Y/N gives Oikawa a smile and he's definitely pleased. Even though they're hanging out as friends, he still likes the idea of spending the day with her.

Iwaizumi: you're grinning like an idiot Shitykawa

Oikawa: mean Iwa chan... Y/N where did you work? I... Can I come to pick you up there? 

Y/N was startled for a sec, but then she nods. Well, back then when they're younger too Oikawa used to pick her up when they're about to play so it's normal, she thought. Then Y/N walk back to her seat.

Kimi: Y/N didn't you say you have something to do? and by the way, you know the hotties from that table!!?

Yuusuke: Who are they? they ran after you when you left earlier... the brown-haired guy especially, he runs after you as soon as you turn your back.

Y/N looks at Oikawa and Iwaizumi, then at Oikawa again. Both of her friends are looking back at her and her coworkers. Oikawa kind of showing displeased face when he saw Yuusuke is acting all close to Y/N, well, Iwaizumi basically thinks that he's Y/N brother so he acts protectively at her as well.

She looks back at her coworkers and tells them.

Y/N: They're my precious friends.... well, I kind of fought with one of them before but... I'm glad we made up....

She looks at Oikawa and Iwaizumi and waves at them, and they return it.
